  9. How do I start using Matrix WebConnect? How do I schedule a meeting?
    Getting started with Matrix WebConnect is easy. After signing up as a Matrix Conferencing customer, you will receive four items that you will need to begin your web conference:
    • URL Host/Join Page (www.matrixwebconnect.com)
    • Toll-Free Access Number (for use with Matrix SmartConnect)
    • Moderator Passcode
    • Participant Passode

    The Moderator will need to log onto the Host/Join page first and enter the Moderator information into the required fields in order to begin the web conference.

    Participants will then log onto the Host/Join page and enter the Participant information into the required fields to join the web conference. At any time before or after logging into a web conference, both the Moderator and Participant may include audio conferencing into their web meeting by simply dialing the Matrix SmartConnect Toll-Free Access Number and entering the required passcodes.
     
  10. How do I start using Matrix SmartConnect? How do I schedule a meeting?
    After signing up as a Matrix Conferencing customer, you will receive three items that you will need to begin your audio conference:
    • Toll-Free Access Number
    • Moderator Passcode
    • Participant Passode

  11. Participants will dial the Toll-Free Access Number and enter the Participant Passcode. The Moderator will dial the Toll-Free Access Number and enter the Moderator Passcode. As the Moderator, you will enter the Moderator Passcode.

  12. Do I have to use Matrix WebConnect and Matrix SmartConnect together?
    You may choose to use both products independently of one another, or in tandem.

  15. How secure is Matrix WebConnect?
  16. The Matrix Data Center is located in Dallas, Texas and is a highly secure facility that is staffed 24 hours per day and 365 days per year. The facilities are physically secure and the infrastructure is redundant. In addition, the Matrix network is protected by redundant firewalls supplied by an industry leader known for their performance and security. Routers, switches and other network components are also configured redundantly to maintain maximum service performance and availability.

    Matrix WebConnect allows users to publish documents for the purpose of sharing with an authorized group of users. When a document is published through Matrix WebConnect it is securely transferred to the Matrix servers and converted for sharing. Published documents are never archived to off-line storage media and are considered the confidential material of the account owner. At any time you may elect to remove or replace a published document in the system. When you choose to remove published materials they are immediately deleted from the systems and are no longer retrievable.

  17. What are the system requirements?
  18. For Hosts and Participants to join conferences their systems must meet the following basic system requirements:
    • Network connection to the Matrix WebConnect system through HTTP and HTTPS
    • Connection speed of 56kbps or higher is recommended
    • Microsoft Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Server2003 System with one of the following browsers: Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher; Netscape 7.0 or higher; Mozilla 1.0 or higher
    • Mac OS X with Netscape 7.1 or higher or Apple Safari
    • Linux, Unix or Solaris with Netscape 7.0+ or Mozilla 1.0+
    • Cookies, pop-ups and scripting Enabled

    Document Publishing No downloads or plug-ins are required for presentations limited to Document Publishing. Only the basic system requirements must be met by Hosts and Participants.

    Application & Desktop Sharing To share applications or desktops the sharing system must meet the following requirements in addition to the basic system requirements:
    • Microsoft Windows 98/NT/ME/2000/XP/Server2003 System with Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
    • Ability to run ActiveX sharing controls or pre-install sharing components
    • Network connection speed of 128kbps or faster recommended
